Sonicare has an array of toothbrush heads. The newer models can use these different toothbrush heads. The E series with the twist on toothbrush head, can only take certain heads. The compact head, or any smaller toothbrush head is what I recommend. Anyone with periodontal disease, crowded teeth, small jaws, 3rd molars, should use a compact toothbrush head or try the Intercare Brush head. Here are the toothbrush heads that Sonicare offers:

InterCare Brush Head
This comes with the Flexcare Platinum Series. It only has one size. I will be getting one of these soon to try out. I will update the post when I have used it for a couple months. I have heard and seen good results from this toothbrush head in the dental chair.

DiamondClean Brush Head
This is great for removing stain from coffee, tea, red wine, smoking stain, etc… This comes with the Diamond Clean toothbrush. It can be used on Flexcare Platinum Series. This is the newest and most exciting toothbrush head for removing stains. This also comes in the regular and compact size. The compact size head (the smaller one) is still my favorite.

This comes in two different heads, regular and compact. It is the original sonicare toothbrush head.

Sensitive Brush Head
This has ultra soft bristles and a pressure reducing shape to give a gentle clean. It is much softer than all the other bristles. THis is great for people with a lot of recession. This is where you gums have receded above the enamel. Your teeth look really long and they are really sensitive. This brush is good for everyone who has periodontal disease and or sensitive teeth.

On all Sonicare toothbrush heads, they have reminder bristles that fade from blue to white when it’s time to replace the brush head. Everyone check your toothbrush head and see if it needs replaced. Toothbrush’s do not work good if your toothbrush head is worn out. The most important thing we can do for ourselves is brush and floss so make sure your toothbrush head is doing a good job for you.
